New Employment Web Site Launched

Monday, April 05, 2010

As part of an ongoing initiative to assist members seeking employment, Church leaders announced on April 28 the immediate availability of LDSjobs.org. While this site has been in existence since 2003, over the last year it has undergone a complete overhaul and redesign.
New features on the employment website include a wider database for online job searches and the option for employers to search résumés of would-be job seekers in order to find qualified applicants.
"We are calling it a new site because the only thing the same from the original is the [address]," said Jeff Newey, manager of training for Welfare Services. "If you are looking for a job, if you are looking for better employment, if you are a small-business person struggling with employment, if you are a leader who is trying to help a person with employment, it will help you. It is where we wanted to be when we first launched [in 2003]."
